My granddaughter Mya Muse took first place in the Hammer with a throw of 160 feet 9" an event her mother took 4th place in the 1996 Olympic Trials. Her last year of high school, she took 4th place in the Shot Put in 1990 at the National Junior Olympics. Mya will be attending Northeastern University on a partial scholarship in the fall, where as her mother and father were both captains of their teams competed for points for their teams.
